Do you know what I truly love about Easter Sunday? It’s the excuse to have a fabulous brunch, and spend time with the people that matter most to me. Having been raised Presbyterian, growing up, Easter Sunday has always involved church, family, egg hunts and gorgeous North Carolina skies.
In the interest of enjoying any/all of these festivities, I’ve put together a list of family friendly activities + healthy and delicious recipes you can enjoy on a (hopefully) gorgeous Sunday in April.
Family Friendly Activities:
- Don’t Break the Egg
- Just like a water balloon toss (which would also be fun!). Fill a plastic egg with jelly beans or another item of choice, and have two partners toss the egg back and forth, taking a step away after every toss. The partners who get the furthest apart without breaking open their egg wins!
- Plan an Easter Scavenger Hunt
- This one from Play. Party. Plan has everything done for you! Just print off the cards and get ready to giggle!
- Bunny Tails
- Get a bunch of big cotton balls. Glue each cotton ball onto a scrap of paper, and pin the paper to each persons bottom. Then, like Flag Football, run around trying to get as many ‘bunny tails’ as you can! Every time someone loses a tail, they have to hop around like a bunny until the end of the game.
Healthy Easter Recipes:
Creamy Vegan Lemon Bars from the Minimalist Baker
Cheap Ass Vegan Devilled Potato Bites from the Crazy Vegan Kitchen
One Pot Asparagus and Spinach Gnocchi from Green Evi
However you choose to celebrate, remember to take the time to cherish the moment. Too often, life gets in the way, or we’re already looking forward at what’s to come, rather than whats in front of us.
