Work schedules, school schedules and just plain life in general has thrown a curve ball at all of us. This makes it even harder to find our sense of normal. So how can we do this? And get our fitness routines back into our schedules? Routines? What is that…with COVID and all its changes I think the hardest part for myself and many of us included was to stick to a “routine”….With so many changes it was hard to find that rhythm that us humans love so much.
Work schedules, school schedules and just plain life in general has thrown a curve ball at all of us. This makes it even harder to find our sense of normal. So how can we do this? And get our fitness routines back into our schedules?
Here is my plan! And most importantly K.I.S.S (Keep it Simple Sisters)
- Make a list of your daily tasks
Make a list, and remember that no task is too small. It is okay to include simple things like brushing your teeth.
- Develop a schedule!
What your morning should look like? Try and complete small simple tasks here that will make your day seem easier! Prep your lunch early!
Have an evening ritual! Same times for dinner, Relaxation, family time and yourself.
Remain flexible! You might need to tweak it and play with it a bit until it works
- Be realistic
Having a routine and sticking to it is incredible, but you should give yourself time. Productive habits take time to develop. If you are too hard on yourself it wont give you a chance to make it part of your lifestyle and routines. Give yourself some grace
Once you nail it down and these systems just become a part of your day…you will be surprised how much more time you have for your family and yourself!
Once you have some of these in place you can tweak it and figure out what works best for you!
