You will need a powerful blender for this recipe. You could drink it as a smoothie or do a smoothie bowl like in the picture.
5 frozen bananas cut up into 2 inch pieces
2 packed cups of spinach (or Kale) fresh or frozen (not cooked frozen- raw frozen)
2 cups of frozen mango pieces
¼ cup of chia seeds
1 heaping tsp of spirulina powder (optional)
water or coconut water- enough to blend (roughly about 4-5 cups)
Toppings:
chia seeds
unsweetened coconut
banana slices
fresh fruits of your choice (berries, mango slices etc..)
Put spinach, spirulina, chia seeds and about 1 cup of water into blender. Blend until smooth. Add bananas and mangos and enough water to fill up blender container. Blend until smooth. Pour into bowl and add toppings of your choice or pour into a glass and drink it as a green glorious smoothie.
This makes about 5 servings depending on size of single serving.
