Who doesn’t love a cup of hot cocoa?? Topped with whipped cream- the best! Thankfully now you can get vegan whipped cream just about anywhere- or make it yourself with coconut milk.
This hot chocolate mix is so good. It does have quite a bit of sugar- so this is a special occasion treat. You can also use coconut sugar in place of organic sugar. Coconut sugar is lower on the glycemic index.
Ingredients:
3.5 cups of organic sugar or coconut sugar
2 cups of raw cacao powder
2 tbsp pink himalyan sea salt
Mix it all up in a 2 qt mason jar.
To make yourself a cup of cocoa: 2 spoonfuls of the mix in the cup, boiling water and then a splash of soy, almond or coconut milk. You could use all “milk” as the base if you want- just heat it up and add the mix. Top with vegan marshmallows.
