Stress is unavoidable; it helps us learn and grow during certain situations. It can be positive; however, chronic stress is unhealthy. Holding onto stress is what we need to release.
Make a list of things that cause stress that you can not control. By letting that type of stress take control of you, it manifests in your body. This can lead to illnesses, inflammation, and injuries.
Now make a list of things that relaxes and calms you. When you become stressed, think of this list in order to release the stress.
Ideas on How to Release Stress:
* Take a deep breath and visualize the stress leaving your body.
* Shake your hands out or rub them on your thighs
* Drink calming teas
* Meditate and check in with yourself
– emotional
– spiritually
– intellectual
– body
* Exercise
* Journaling
