With Earth Day occurring this weekend, let’s remember why we need to make a difference. Let’s take some simple steps to make ourselves healthier and create a happier Earth.
In America, we throw away 41% of the food that is grown and processed. Try eating less. Do not go grocery shopping hungry; you end up buying food you do not need. Try buying in bulk.
Reduce the use of plastic utensils and plastic bottles. It takes 1,000 years to break down one plastic bag. Consuming food that is contained in plastic can lead to hormone disruption.
In order to save money, try reusing the containers that the items you have bought come in. Do not be so quick to go out and replace items that can still be used.
When running errands, try riding your bike or walking instead of driving from store to store.
