Coach Jackie Tallarido began her fitness journey 12 years ago after taking her first indoor cycle class, becoming absolutely hooked, and deciding she was ready for a healthier lifestyle. Along with a newfound love of fitness and a healthy eating routine, Jackie lost over 100 lbs. She became a certified Schwinn and Stages Cycle instructor and shares her passion for riding with her classes. Jackie uses awesome music & motivation to remind her riders that no matter your size, age or circumstances if you believe in yourself, your strength is limitless.

JP is driven and motivated to drive others toward the best version of themselves. In her Yoga classes, she offers tools and techniques to uncover layers that keep us from our highest selves. She has worked for years in drug rehabs, prisons, homeless shelters, and in yoga studios teaching yoga, mindfulness, and breath work.

Stephanie grew up in Wilmington, NC as a competitive dancer and started her professional career shortly after graduating high school. She has had incredible opportunities traveling the world performing in production shows, on cruise ships, and in theaters. Her passion for dance led her to love the fitness world and she began teaching group fitness classes in 2014 while living in Las Vegas, NV. She has a Barre certification as well as an ACE group fitness certification. She is passionate about motivating and encouraging clients to push themselves and have fun doing it. She will always try to bring a smile to your face during class and will leave you feeling strong and empowered. She loves spending summer days at the beach with her family and exploring new places. She is always up for new adventures if you want an adventure buddy. Stephanie is excited to join the Kaia community and can’t wait to see you in class.

Monet Grzecka is a health and fitness enthusiast addicted to movement and music! After a 17 year career as a professional dancer, becoming a wife, and a mom of three boys, she decided to hang up the performance shoes and pursue a career in fitness. She is a certified personal trainer (ACE) and Health Coach (Dr. Sears Wellness Institute). Having to close a large diastasis of her own inspired her to specialize in Pre/Postnatal exercise (AFPA), pelvic floor, and diastasis recti rehab. She found a love for training moms and a passion for helping them raise healthy kids. She also teaches dance, PE, and nutrition programs to elementary through middle school students. She holds a certification as a youth exercise specialist (ACE), and is licensed to teach Zumba and Zumba kids Jr.
Monet is an advocate for balanced nutrition, injury prevention, and functional training. She believes that working out should enhance your everyday life and the focus should always be more on how you FEEL than what the scale says! Her best advice is to focus on health and let the weight take care of itself. The only real secret is patience and consistency. There is no end goal with fitness. It is a lifelong journey. Her favorite exercise is a single-leg deadlift and she loves anything that challenges balance! She brings her dance background into her classes as it helps her develop unique workouts that place emphasis on not only strength but flexibility, too. She is new to the Santa Clarita area and is so excited to be a part of the Kaia team.

Coach Heather and Owner of Kaia Fit Santa Clarita has an obsession for fitness. Yes, an obsession. She is happiest when she is moving, sweating, breathing, and living! She’s even happier when all her friends and family join her. There is no better high than driving yourself through a hard workout, hard race event, or impossible challenge and coming out the other side knowing you accomplished that impossible feat, you made it happen. I love sharing this mindset with all the girls at Kaia. I love to instill belief and confidence in others. My main purpose in owning Kaia is to grow a tribe of women with no limits, no fears, no doubts that they can take on anything in this life and then lead other women to believe they have the capability of doing anything they can dream of. My favorite exercise is HANDSTANDS! I have always been in awe of gymnasts and the strength and control they have over their bodies. When I’m in a handstand, I feel strong. I feel like an athlete, but I also feel young again! I love handstand contests. It’s my favorite thing to do at the beach with all the kids and parents too! Burpees are a very close second. I feel like a force to be reckoned with when I do Burpees. Heather is married to her Fire Fighter husband, Cary Flebbe, who has fought and overcome cancer. She has two children who inspire her to be stronger every day. Cade Gunnar who is 21 and Taylor Kristine who is 14. Heather has raced and finished The World’s Toughest Race in Fiji with her Team SuperFighters. She has her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, is a Professor at CSULA, and is a Master Educator for Stages Indoor Cycling, along with owning Kaia Fit Santa Clarita! She has been inspiring and educating health and fitness professionals for over 27 years! Heather’s favorite quote she coined is "Beast Mode transfers to all parts of your life." She loves to watch her clients transform into confident, powerful, unstoppable, adventurous, inspired individuals that feel like they can do anything and be anything!

Coach Rebecca Johnson has been a member of the Kaia community for 4 years!  She grew up playing competitive sports and wanted to find a gym that would challenge her fitness.  It has done just that…and along the way, she’s found an amazing group of women!  Their courage and dedication to continuously challenge themselves quickly inspired Rebecca to get out of her comfort zone and become a Kaia Coach! It is true, nothing great ever came from staying in your comfort zone. She views coaching as a privilege and loves teaching Cross Train and TRX. She couldn’t think of a better way to start OR end her days. Rebecca makes a choice every day to move her body so she can continue doing all the things that bring her joy (kids…family…friends…traveling…and eating great food)!  “One of the greatest joys that comes from being a coach is knowing that you made a positive impact on someone’s life (whether they love it in the moment J). You never know who you are showing up for when you show up for yourself first!”

Coach Alexia Pelletier absolutely loves the community at Kaia. She is passionate about encouraging women through fitness and is so thankful that she gets to do this through Kaia. She loves the girls she gets to work with and really sees her time coaching at the gym as community as well as fitness. Alexia graduated from UCLA in June and is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Legal and Forensic Psychology. Another fun fact is that her mom is a Kaia Girl too!

Coach Briggitte Paschall is a new coach to Kaia, but has been a member since 2019. She’s lived in Santa Clarita for almost 21 years and is an alumnus of Valencia High School. Briggitte has been a dancer for 21 years and spent most of her time learning to dance at Dance Studio 84. In 2015, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Kentucky with a focus on Human Health Sciences and a minor in Dance. In Kentucky, Briggitte was a part of a health and fitness club that empowered college girls to stay healthy and active called CHAARG. While she was originally on track to go to Physical Therapy school, and even became a PT aide at an outpatient clinic for 8 months, she learned that this career was not meant for her. Briggitte started volunteering with the LEAAP lab at CSUN that focused on research in dancers where she learned about the kinesiology department’s graduate program. In 2020, She decided to continue her education with the Master’s program in Kinesiology with a focus on dance and biomechanics. She hopes to teach dancers about injury prevention. In case you can’t tell already, Briggitte loves to dance! She also has a passion for hiking and kickboxing! She is incredibly excited to be a part of the Kaia Team in Santa Clarita!

Kaia Tri is a ten-week triathlon training program with workouts three times a week, which is an optional extra during our spring and summer CORE sessions. We swim, bike, and run, with some cross-training classes too. By being able to set a personal pace, our triathlon training program is suited to beginners tackling their first race and intermediate athletes looking to improve their finish time.

Our mock triathlons run several times to familiarize women with the course route. We finish the season with a Triathlon Training Camp which includes paddle boarding and power workouts. The next day is our exhilarating and fun Triathlon race day for all Kaia Tri women to enjoy working out in a beautiful location. Friends are welcome too!

SANDBAG

Kaia Sandbag combines traditional fitness with unconventional training methods. With sandbags, the weight shifts and moves in an unpredictable fashion. This piece of equipment is integrated into our conditioning & strength building workouts to simultaneously develop strength, power, endurance, mobility, and balance – with an additional emphasis on developing overall core strength and stability.

New to sandbag training? No problem! Beginners are always welcome.

TRX SUSPENSION 

TRX® Suspension Training® body-weight exercise simultaneously develops strength, power, endurance, mobility, durability, balance, flexibility, and core stability. Whether you’re younger or older, out of shape or a pro athlete, injured or at the top of your game, TRX Suspension Training meets you where you are and takes you where you want to go. TRX Suspension Training leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to enable hundreds of exercises that can be instantly scaled for any user to reach any fitness or training goal. The easily-scalable nature of TRX Suspension Training makes it a practical solution wherever you are on the fitness continuum.

Need a little extra boost to keep your body guessing? Our TRX/Cardio class is an excellent complement to any Kaia FIT session. TRX workouts, which can be used by anyone at any level, builds true functional strength and improves flexibility, balance and core stability all at once. Mixed with cardio, the classes give every member the perfect balance of challenge and success.

CROSS-TRAINING

Our trademark Kaia Cross-Training™ classes are a unique mix of cardio, functional movement, and both weighted and non-weighted exercises.

Cross-Training benefits:

Each day brings a new workout. We have an elite group of advanced coaches who infuse each workout with their own flair and focus, meaning you’re never going to repeat a workout, avoid burn-out, and fitness plateaus.

Keeping the body guessing is key to sculpting lean muscle mass. We also have a 3-part modification foundation: Balance (non-impact); Strength (mid-impact) and Kaia (high impact). Each exercise has its own progression so that everyone can feel successful.

As a part of our program, we also offer nutritional guidance to help you make healthy food choices and keep your fitness on track.

BARRE

Our barre-based class is a unique combination of postures inspired by ballet, yoga, Pilates and Kaia. Using the barre as a prop to balance, you’ll complete a series of isometric holds combined with high reps of small range movements to elongate and tone your major muscle groups.

In addition to the barre, classes incorporate pilates balls, yoga blocks, and/or resistance bands for increased endurance, challenge and focus. Following each set of holds, you’ll rest and recovery with a short series of stretches and poses to increase flexibility prior to advancing.
Kaia Barre is a low-impact class that perfectly complements our program offerings. Meet us at the barre and try your first class for free!

DANCE 

Our dance fitness class is rooted in traditional dance. We use those foundational moves and offer a class that is easy enough for beginners yet challenging enough for the more seasoned dancer. The simplicity of the routines allows you to keep moving with ease. Although this is a workout, it feels more like a dance party with your girlfriends.

RUNNING 

Improve your speed, skill, endurance, stamina, and strength with our Kaia running program. The program works on developing running skills that can increase speed, endurance, and overall fitness. The program is designed for you to run at your pace and and help you see improvements every step of the way.

The Kaia training is a simple, progressive program designed for women of all ages and all fitness levels. Whether you are a walker, jogger, or runner, you will be able to join this program and move at your own pace. Research has shown that even 20 to 30 minutes of running (two to three times per week) is enough to help you lose or maintain weight and improve many other important health markers, i.e. your cholesterol, blood pressure and insulin response.

Don’t be intimidated by the Kaia Run program name, each class will have walkers, joggers and runners. Keep in mind that the first mile is the hardest mile you will ever run. Once you get off the starting block, things only get easier. All you have to do is be patient and disciplined in your training, and that is where Kaia

POWER YOGA

Kaia Yoga combines mind and body with a power yoga and core-strengthening weekly workout with Pilates-style techniques. We focus on balance, strength, and cardiovascular fitness through stretching, strength training and dynamic movement to improve overall fitness levels.

By creating long, lean muscles, Yoga promotes improved coordination, greater flexibility and a fuller range of motion, with a strong body that’s less prone to injury. Yoga keeps the mind centered and reduces stress through positive thoughts and a sense of mindfulness, which also inspires mental strength and confidence.

Yin Yoga, or restorative yoga, is a quiet contemplative practice. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body. Poses are held for 1 minute or more and transitions between poses are gentle and slow. This class is an excellent compliment to our other classes, provides dedicated stretching, and is known to reduce stress and anxiety.

Our BRIK Bootcamp sessions are offered three times a year and are designed to help you reach your health and fitness potential, and you’re welcome to start anytime!
