Fruits, vegetables and their juices are packed with vitamins, minerals and a whole host of other essential nutrients needed for optimum health. It’s the juices held within the fiber of fresh fruits and vegetables that feed the body by nourishing every cell and helping to flush the system of waste.
You don’t have a to do a juice cleanse to benefit from juicing. 16 ounces of celery juice a day, on a empty stomach is the best juice and if it is the only juicing you do that is ok by me! Sometimes, though, you just need a pick me up. Adding another juice or two to your day will give you the pick me up you need.
Today I bring you a tropical inspired juice that has more veggies than fruit but you would never know it. Always juice your soft fruits and veggies first and work your way to the harder items.
Ingredients:
1 orange peeled
1/4 of a pineapple
2 handfuls of Power Greens (from Costco)
1.5 inch piece of ginger
1 celery stalk
3 medium carrots
1 apple
Juice items in exact order. If you have a slow and fast setting on your juicer as I do- use soft for the first 3 ingredients and switch to fast for the rest.
Drink right away unless you have a cold press juicer or the Breville Fountain Cold juicer- then you have 72 hours to consume.
Serves 1.
